Guess what? I'm back to Cybertron!
I've lost my passion for TF due to the bigger and bigger disappointment I've got toward the end of the TF: Ongoing series. The wonderful show Person of Interest just came in time and further dragged me away from the TF fandom (I wonder if Thundercracker would enjoy the show lol), so I didn't pay attention to the new two ongoing series IDW released on early 2012 even if they are written by John Barber (I like his movie comics) and James Roberts (Last Stand of the Wreckers)--I just got myself disappointed to many times to find the enthusiasm to give IDW TF comics another try (not when I have POI to occupy my time, anyway). But thanks to
I picked up More Than Meets The Eyes Volume 1 on amazon, decided to give it a shot, and I'm glad that I read it. Since there are plenty of reviews out there, I just want to say that MTMTE re-ignited my love for TF. Many of the main characters in MTMTE are again, as in LSotW, less-known to many readers. But I instantly fall in love with those characters just like when I was reading LSotW. I heart was wrenched when I saw Fort Max broke down upon seeing only the projection of Overlord. I was devastated when I saw Rung's head being shot clean off (almost cried, and I'm not a person who is easily to cry).
[#7 spoiler]
So you can imagine how happy I was seeing Rung seem to survive the blast (well, at least for now). It was REALLY touching to see Red Alert saying that Rung is the only person he TRUSTS. Rung would be so proud of himself if he heard that.
The DJD is a group made of (geeky) BAMFs, that's for sure (did I just say geeky? lol). They remind me of the "thought police" in the book "1984", which made me emphasize the newly appeared Decepticon scavengers even more. They are a bunch of misfits, sure, but they look like ordinary GOOD guys, helping each other in the harsh environment they are in, even able to maintain a cracked sense of humor. I was REALLY sad when I realized they don't even have the right of THINKING FREELY. How in the pit did the DJD knew Fulcrum said he is finally free for the first time? It really gave me creeps because just as in "1984", there's no where to hide for the 'cons, there's only obedience and following orders, or there's only painful death waiting for them. No wonder those 'cons who adopt well are either merciless or kind of crazy-- those who are not "qualified" enough are probably being wiped out by the DJD. I truly hope the bunch of happy-easy-going cons would survive (though they'll probably all end up dead, but one can always hope).
And yeah, organic-tissue-infested TF ship and Grimlock? It smells like Shockwave all over there.
BTW, that symbol ship looks like a huge Decepticon commercial board XDDD
PS: If they don't let Rung live, my rage and feeling only could burn the whole DJD into metal dust.
PPS: Overlord's lips are SO distracting LOLOL
PPPS: DJD inner-shipping/5-some (IN THE NAME OF ONE TRUE MASTER MEGATRON!) anyone?
